IsabelC
Today we got the feedback from Ms 5's assessment and they have confirmed the diagnosis. This means I now officially have twice as many autistic children than I had yesterday. We knew something was up. We chose to have her assessed. We wanted a diagnosis. But I still feel devastated. sbgrace
:grouphug: I think it's hard, like a grief for me, to hear it officially. It starts a new journey emotionally.

PeterPan
Add my hugs... It's hard for everyone, no matter what the diagnosis is, though I think that makes it harder that it's spectrum. Will things be changing for you as a result? You have to add some new therapies or get more evals? If you were here, I'd share my lemon brownies. :drool5: They're very healthy you know, with all that lemon. If you wanna make 'em yourself Lemon Brownies Recipe | Just A Pinch Recipes Make a triple batch in a 9X13 and frost with cream cheese frosting. Eat the whole pan, and all your problems will go away. Not really, but they have to help, right? :)
srs
Hugs to you. Like a pp said, even an expected diagnosis brings some level of grief. Now it's really real.
BlueTaelon
:grouphug: My 13YO was dx about a week ago so I understand the feeling, at least you already are aware of what to expect and therapies so your ahead of me.
*Lulu*
I think every diagnosis, even the one that is expected, has a sort of grieving process to it. (((Hugs)))
