foofoobunny
I'm looking for fun French games or something online to supplement our French curriculum. This is our first year, so easy stuff! 4th and 6th grader. I already have LanguagesOnline.com marked. Thanks!
Pen
My son (11) enjoys Duolingo.com . He just reached beginning translation level in German, and is finding it fun--especially since so far he has gotten 3 'likes' and no 'unlikes' on his translated sentences. He is planning to do all the languages they offer and just started French recently. Because it uses computer to be able to get meanings of words, one does not have to look things up in a paper dictionary, making it much easier and more fun (plus they give points and "lingots" that you can use to buy things like "heart refills" and "streak freezes")...OTOH since you do not have to go to the trouble of looking things up, it is possible that there is less retention than when one has to do the laborious word by word work with a regular book type dictionary. I'm not sure.
Vida Winter
My dd13 and I are supplementing with Duolingo but I'm not sure my 4th grader would like it as much - there is a lot of typing and you must type correctly. It's free so go ahead and try it out.

madteaparty
Love duolingo for French here; doing it daily. I wish there was something else like it so we could do even more!
