Is Trail Guide to US Geography easy to implement?

I just bought it at cbd, thanks for the heads up! I'm planning to use the World Geography and bougbt it on Ebay, but I couldn't pass up that price for year 4. :)

I don't know if you have your copy yet.

How "easy" will they be to implement it? Since we have the same age kids... I guess we are on the same wavelength as to thinking and planning things! lol

I was thinking of adding some geography to our lessons - don't want anything too involved but I want it to be something I will use with them consistently - and I want them to learn it. I know about sheppardsoftware.com too.

I was going to start with US and later go world...... Figured "world" would be covered for the time being in SOTW.

(also KIN - let me ask you - what spelling are you using? I've had trouble picking that out too. I should look for your post on what you finally decided on..... :))

Hi Pster,

I don't have my World Trail Guide yet, so I can't say for sure how it will be. :) It looks easy if you buy the correct atlas that they recommend.

We use Spell to Write and Read and really like it for spelling.

We used Trail Guide to US Geography this year in 5th. It was VERY easy to use, and has different grade levels to work in. It is written for 3rd-highschool. I purchased the e-book version so that I would have all the pages on my computer for ease of printing them out.

You will definitely want the atlas they recommend. I started with a different one, and ended up purchasing the Rand McNally Children's Illustrated Atlas for ease of use with the program. You will also need outline maps. We used Uncle Josh's. If you purchase the Student Notebook for each student, I believe all the maps are already included and you would not need to buy outline maps.

If your children like to cook, I also purchased The United States Cookbook by D'Amico and Drummond. You can take a look at it on Amazon. It was a fun addition to our states study. Actually, I plan on selling mine soon if you want to buy used, but in like-new condition. :D
