helena
Okay, I have everything ready to go, it looks great! Thanks everyone for the links and suggestions. :) (here's the old thread for reference: http://forums.welltr...-more-question/) I'd like to have a few prepared questions for each speech. I'll use them at the end of the month once we're done with the study. Here's the list: Aug. Muhammad's Last Sermon Sep. Queen Elizabeth I's Speech to the Troops Oct. Patrick Henry's Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death Nov. William Faulkner's Nobel Prize Speech Dec. Aragorn's Speech at the Black Gate Jan. MLK's I Have a Dream Feb. The Gettysburg Address March Lou Gehrig's Farewell Speech April Socrates' Apology May Sojourner Truth's Ain't I a Woman? Any suggestions on good questions to ask? I have a growing list myself, but I know some of you have already studied these and have a richer perspective. My kids are going to be 14 and 12 next school year. helena
I'm also looking for general supplements. For example watching Pride of the Yankees for Lou Gehrig's speech. Right now I'm watching this for Socrates' Apology: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6rmxxWDdnU :tongue_smilie:
