I was offered, and accepted a new position.

I am going to market, staff, train and run the Katy location of Bo's Place. (You can google if you are interested). Bo's Place is a free, non profit center that supports grieving famililes. Bo's Place has served the Houston metro area for 20 years. They are opening a satellite location in my city/suburb.

They offered me the job.

Don't get me wrong: I am very good and love most of my current position. But my family needs me. I have been working 7 a.m. to after 10:00 p.m. for years and years (in some configuration or another, and some of that at my kids' school). I need a normal schedule.

The Bo's Place job? It is part time for the same take home pay. Even better, there is not a non compete, so I can open my own limited private practice! Even with working at the school, Bo's Place and a private practice, I will still have many, many more hours of family/free time.

Oh, and I took the LMFT exam today. In spite of this being year 2013, and the test being computerized and 200 multiple choice questions, it is not scored immediately. I won't know until 4 weeks AFTER the testing window closes. It's ok; I have 2 licenses on which I can work. This one was just going to allow me to practice independently before I finish my LPC "hours".
