A shameless look at my kid's photos in my blog

Dd had her first drama club production this weekend. I put up some photos on my blog. I can't tell you how many I took just as she was blinking.

But these turned out okay. At the end I bragged about about my camera and the new lens I got for Christmas. Feel free to ignore that part. :coolgleamA:

I know what you mean about the blinking! I take 500-600 photos a day at swim meets, and at least 1/2 are of splashes!

Being a mom has its unexpected challenges, huh?

Dance recital is coming up. It will be fun to try to get shots without her back to me, some kid's arm in her face, blinking, leaping, twirling, etc.

Good luck with this. My dc are in an outdoor sport and I often find photos of just grass on my camera. Or part of some kid's arm or something. The times I do get my dc in a picture, they complain about the face they are making, how their uniform is pulling/billowing/whatever making them look 'fill-in-the-blank'. It's incredibly difficult to get a good photo!!

I liked the pix on your blog, though! Good quality shots of a very pretty young lady. :001_smile:

I had a real challenge this weekend--the VMAC pool in Denver will NOT let a photographer on deck even with a press pass (I work for the newspaper), so I'm constrained in what I can get. Even if I were on deck, we can't be on the bulkhead, so the cool face-on breastroke and fly pictures are out. I need to start sorting and get this week's to the paper. We had a kid make State!

Congratulations!
