LAR
I'm looking for some project or craft ideas for four girls (ages 8 to 10). Our group meets every other Friday for 2 hours and is mostly time for the girls to play. But lately, the girls are asking for a craft or project theme to work on. I was going to order Herb Fairies but the offer is now closed. These girls all like to read and craft, enjoy animals and creepy crawlies, gardening and fairies. They play both inside and outside. Any suggestions?

craftymama
Anything in Family Fun Magazine (you can get most of it online at their website for free). Painting, tie dye shirts, baking, stamping, card making, scrapbooks...are you looking for specific projects to get done in the two hours, or something more ongoing? And how messy do you want to get? clarkacademy
Stepping stones? They are pretty cheap and it could lead to a bigger project like a fairy or butterfly garden maybe.
KristenR
What about working your way through the Daring Book for Girls? I picked up both this book and the Dangerous Book for Boys awhile back and have hopes of using it with my three daughters in some not-too-distant summer. Stepping stones are cheap and our families all have fairy/perennial gardens. Great great suggestion!
