Calling experienced WWE users...where to place DD5th grade?

With all the threads on preparation for logic stage, etc., I've been really researching and deciding what to do for my daughter who is in 5th grade right now. She has always struggled with spelling and has been writing phobic. She doesn't love to write now, but is coming along, finishing Writing Strands 3 in the next few weeks and doing pretty well. I've never really done much narration, dictation work with her. And as I was looking through WWS, thinking about starting her in that, I realized that she's not prepared.

I thought about doing WWE with her, perhaps WWE book 3 or 4. I just did the WWE 3 year end evaluation I found on the internet, and I'm not sure still if she needs to do 3 or 4. Can you help?

Here's her summary of the story from Rabbit Hill

Little Georgie was a rabbit and he was being chased by an old dog. Then he started running really quick. And then he jumped over a brook and the dog gave up.

When she wrote the first sentence from memory she wrote:

Little Gorgie was being chashed by an old dog. (She mispelled two words--one of her biggest struggles is spelling--and left out "was a rabbit".)

Then she was supposed to write down three sentences from dictation:

"I hide well," answered Georgie, "and wait a good long time. I look all around for dogs. I look up the road for cars and down the road for cars."

Here's what she wrote:

"I hide well" said Georgie said. "I look all around for dogs. I look up the road for cars and down the road the road for cars."

So what do you think? Does she need to do WWE 3 or can I move on to WWE 4?

Thanks for your opinions...
