Shelly in IL
On Sunday, my husband and I will have been married 23 years. We are both 46. So, we will have been married exactly half of our lives. Shouldn't we mark that in some way? I can't think of any ideas but it seems like a cool anniversary to just "do a dinner" for. Help!

Melissa in Australia
Congratulations we had our 20th anniversary last weekend. It is more than half my life. :coolgleamA: we went away overnight. We had to go down to Melbourne to got to court as we are trying to stop a development next door. This is the second time we have gone away together without children in 20 years. We lashed out and went out for dinner to A RESTERAUNT ( I can count on one hand the number of times I have been to a restaurant in my entire life). It was a really really nice 2 days. even the 5+ hours traveling around each day on public transport was terrific.
Shelly in IL
Ok I am so laughing! My post title is ridiculous! Thank you autocorrect!
melmichigan
No big ideas here. Last month was our 20th anniversary, half my life almost exactly. We did the one thing we haven't done but once or twice in the last seven years. We drove into the city, went to dinner at Outback with required shared dessert, and went to Dave and Buster's for a few hours, all without children. Can you tell we don't get out much by ourselves? Lisa in Jax
Ok I am so laughing! My post title is ridiculous! Thank you autocorrect! I'm laughing, too, because sometimes, being married is "being tried," so it's an apt autocorrect. ;) Lisa
