hollyh
This may be premature. I've been having a lot of symptoms lately and don't have the ability to get a pregnancy test yet... frustrating. I tend to not be able to keep my mouth shut from dh for more than an hour, so I want to be prepared for when/if we do get pregnant! LOL. I would like some cute ideas on how to tell DH using the other kids - whether it be telling them WITH him, with their pictures, etc. Just something that involves them or the number of kids we will have. Any fun ideas?
wapiti
Consider whether you want the kids - and therefore possibly the entire world - to know at the same time as your DH. Personally, I like to wait as long as possible for the kids to find out, for all sorts of reasons, not the least of which is that my kids have BIG mouths. With baby #6, I got to 15w, when dd asked me something to the effect of whether my belly fat from the previous baby would ever go away :glare: . The very next day, I was having a phone conference with a teacher at school who congratulated me... somehow one of the little ones said something to one teacher, who told another, etc. Good luck!! Flowing Brook
Some friends of ours have six children. They found out they were having twins. So they took all the kids outside and had them stand on the steps of their porch with rubber boots on. In the middle of the children they put two extra pairs of boots. On top of those they put the ultrasound pictures. They then took a picture of the children's feet. In captions on the picture they put the R family is growing by four feet. Maybe you could do something like that.
Um_2_4
I was going to suggest set the kids at the table and leave an empty high chair (maybe put the 1yo in a booster if you have it), then use a photo editing software (or word) to write on the picture) seat #5 debuting NOV 2013 (or whatever month), then email it to DH. DH would get it, but the kiddos wouldn't so you could wait to tell them. And later you could send it to family.
Isabella
Maybe you could get them to do a family drawing showing the new baby, and get them all to line up when daddy comes home from work, and show him their pictures!
