Love his music. Saw him perform at Red Rocks many years ago, and it was a fantastic concert (he did a few Jimi Hendrix covers at the end which were amazing). He's gotten a lot of bad press related to his romantic relationships in recent years. They all seem to paint him as a jerk. Hard to know if there's any truth to all that or if it's just media hype.

I actually told my darling daughter that I'd rather her smoke pot and have crazy hair than sleep with John Mayer. His skankiness reduced me to poor parenting.

One of our local radio stations used to have visits from musical artists who would perform for a bit and then do an interview with the on-air guy. On-Air Guy said he only once had a bad experience with this, and it was with John Mayer. On-Air Guy could find something positive to say about just about anybody, and he said JM was an arrogant *jerk* [actually, he used a rather more colorful word] who treated the office staff like servants and was rude to everybody he encountered.
