Annie
I'm six weeks pregnant today, and we're very excited, but I'm starting to get a little bit nervous. I've had a little brown spotting when I go to the bathroom over the last week, and last night it was pink. The brown didn't worry me very much, but I admit that my heart sank a little bit when I saw the pink. I've only had a little brown again this morning, and I'm not cramping at all, so I'm trying to stay positive. I know spotting can be normal and everything is probably fine, but I didn't see a drop of anything resembling blood with my last pregnancy until I was 41 weeks and holding a baby the next day, so it makes me a little anxious. I had a cesarean with surgical complications when my son was born, so my uterus isn't exactly in mint condition and that adds to the doubt a bit. I would appreciate any prayers and positive thoughts for a healthy, sticky baby that you can send our way. I'm going to play with my little guy and try not to think about it. :)
Catwoman
Praying for you, Annie! :grouphug: But please lie down and rest. Have you called your doctor to see if you can get an appointment, in case you get really worried?
Annie
Thanks, Cat. I'll try to rest today. We'll do extra books and maybe a Dora or two this afternoon. We have one giant OB practice in town, and that's pretty much it. I'm a new patient (homebirth transfer with the last one), and they won't see me without a financial agreement in place. They haven't finished writing up my agreement yet (waiting for the insurance company maybe?), so I'm a little stuck. I'm sure they would figure something out if there was an emergency (or point me to the ER), but I'm far from an emergency at this point. Catwoman
I hope you don't need to even think about a doctor's appointment and that everything will be just fine.
MercyA
I had pink and then bright red spotting at about the same time as you, and it lasted about a week. I also had light cramping almost my whole first trimester. That baby is now happily eating lunch in the kitchen. :) There is a wide range of normal, so try not to worry too much. :grouphug: My doctor told me it wasn't necessary to change my activity level, but my mother told me to lie down and put my feet up, so I did for at least a few days. ;) I'm not sure if it helped, but it made me feel better. I'll be praying for you and the baby; please keep us updated! And, congratulations!!!

Annie
Thank you, ladies! Today has gone pretty well. I've had some more brown spotting but nothing pink. Still no cramping or anything. I tried to lay low a bit, but it's hard with a very busy little boy. If I'm still spotting on Monday, I think I'll call the OB and see what they say. I'm not scheduled to be seen until March 21st. mumto2
Praying :grouphug: Do your best to rest. A really great OB gave this advice when spotting-- never stand when you can sit and never sit when you can lay down!
