serendipitous journey
I've been looking at Timberdoodle's preschool for a while now, and will probably purchase it this month for Bot-bot (minus a few things I didn't want). Anybody used this? I'm not fretting about reading/language exposure or math, which we'll have covered various other ways -- Sonlight lists, Great Books nursery eventually RightStart and/or MEP reception -- but I like the collection of puzzle and toy type things, and the music idea box... chicagoshannon
My kids love that turtle magnet toy thingy. We also have one of those block puzzles that they like. The foam letter things just get lost around here. We have an older preschool core that came with a silk scarf (love), a pegboard type thing for making pictures(love), and a few other things. We didn't get any of the work books. If I had known about Magnatiles a couple of years ago I would have skipped all of that stuff (except the turtle thingy) and just bought 2 big sets of them. beaners
We haven't bought anything from them, but I love Timberdoodle's catalog. They have so many things I want!

We do not have any Magnatiles, and I know both boys would have so much fun with them -- so I think I'll just get the turtle toy & and maybe the box of song activities from Timberdoodle, and spend the money on Magnatiles and set some money aside for our Duplo educational collection -- we have the Machines, but I've been wanting to get a second set b/c the two boys run out of the favorite pieces quickly, and will try to catch a sale price this spring. Thanks so much for that valuable perspective! I think it is going to make a big difference in how well my preschool budget is spent :) .
