justamouse
It's just so strange how you never expect it. We lived by them for 7 years, and they were THE BEST neighbors a person could ask for--I hated living there, but I missed moving because of them. Their kids were a part of our lives, and they would stop for tea, just play with the kids, and their daughter was our babysitter the whole time we lived there. Their dad was an EMT, and one of THE nicest people you'd ever want to meet. He was battling weight related issues and had had some heart problems, but he was still so young, in his 50s. So, so young. This is the part that has been making me break down all day, that they were going to bed, he had a heart attack and his wife did CPR on him until the ambulance came. He loved her so much, he was utterly devoted to her. He was always touching her, hand on her shoulder, arm around her, holding hand--he adored her, and she was the sun for it. Starr
I'm so sorry. :grouphug: It must be crazy difficult for them.
Chelle in MO
That is so heartbreaking! The shock of that type of thing is very difficult. :grouphug:

That brings tears to my eyes. He also reminds me of my dad....very friendly, out-going, and extremely in love with my mom, affectionate and demonstrative. He died last year after 56 years of marriage. It's still hard on my mom...she misses him immensely - just the sheer love he felt for her (and she for him) was always amazing to me. They danced together alone in their living room the day before he died. :crying: :grouphug: :grouphug:

jenL
I'm sorry! He sounds like a wonderful man. Thankfully, his wife, family, and all who knew him will have warm memories of him. It doesn't change the pain or sadness, but in time, those memories will be so helpful. Sometimes I wish death did not exist.
