thescrappyhomeschooler
Or, I should say, she doesn't like the Trader Joe's Almond Cocoa facsimile of Nutella. I gave everyone bacon, toast and yogurt for breakfast. When asked what she wanted on her toast, she said, "Nothing." The choices were butter, cream cheese, fruit spread, lemon curd or the chocolate spread. I talked her into trying the chocolate spread. I just came into the kitchen to load up the dishwasher, and her toast had one small bite taken out. Too bad it was wheat toast, or I would have gobbled it right up! :drool5: She, at least, tried it. My younger son's plain buttered toast was still sitting on the plate in its entirety. I don't get it. What is not to like about plain buttered toast? Cassy
The only ones here to eat breakfast are DH and DS8. DS8 eats a large quantity of pancakes spread with Nutella, and a glass of milk. None of the rest of us can touch anything much before noon.
RoughCollie
I don't like Nutella either. Not to expand the issue too much, but I also hate cupcakes and am not fond of kilts! :D

thescrappyhomeschooler
She spends a lot of time at our house, and she put away the bacon and yogurt with no problem, so I know it's not a matter of not wanting to eat breakfast. She does like sweets and chocolate, so I thought she'd like Nutella-ish stuff. I was wrong. Better make my sister eat it before I take a spoon to that jar. Julie Smith
She, at least, tried it. My younger son's plain buttered toast was still sitting on the plate in its entirety. I don't get it. What is not to like about plain buttered toast? Perhaps you just need to read more, "Mercy Watson" books. :p
OrganicAnn
We don't like any of the Nutella substitutes. Hey at least she tried it and politely left it since she didn't like it (rather than rudely complain about it). Some kids just don't do well with trying new things. LucyStoner
I find nutella way too sweet. While I might be able to handle a smear on a dessert after dinner, for breakfast it sounds ghastly to me. Too much sugar too early for me. You're not using enough butter!! The rest I agree with - homemade jam, the kids like Nutella, I do not.
Orthodox6
Coming in from a different perspective, I would propose that the bread needs improvement. When a bread is excellent, nothing on it is needed.

BarbecueMom
I can understand not liking Nutella, but who on Earth rejects cream cheese? It goes with everything! My favorite gluten-free bagel is a spoon of cream cheese... without the bagel.
