Guest jeffandjenplus10
Any other LARGE families out there have some ideas for managing computer set up and time, etc. . . We have 10 children, 2 of whom need computers fairly often for writing and online classes and 6 of whom I would LIKE to use them more for TT math, VP self-paced history courses, typing tutor, and some math games and the two younger ones who I'd like to let occasionally play a jumpstart math game or something like that. PROBLEM: HOW to acquire enough computers? HOW and WHERE to set up said computers? HOW to manage the computer time without going crazy? Also, how do you manage the TIME spent online, on computer games, on ipods, etc. . . Our solution so far has been just not to have much access to any of it but I am finding that I am ready for the usefulness of computers if only I could figure out how to manage it with some sense of peace and in a way that doesn't take up our whole day. {IF you have less than 5 children, this probably seems like a silly question to you BUT IF you have an especially large family, maybe you know what I'm talking about when I say that media management is harder than the laundry management for our family!} I'd love to hear your ideas, solutions, etc. . .
