bttrflyvld
It's always nice to have something fun to listen to when you travel. What have been your young children's favorites?
Tawlas
My 5yo son LOVES Hank the Cowdog and Magic Treehouse. Other hits have been the Wizard of Oz and uncle wiggly. I'm drawing a blank right now, I know there's more, but I can't think of them! I try and keep the audio books to ones I know I'm not going to want to read to him - now or at some later date. Clarkd
I Love My White Shoes, Magic Tree House series, They didn't like the individual If you Give a Mouse a Cookie, Pig a Pancake, etc. but there is one that is all the stories together and it has some fun songs in between. OrdinaryTime
Between 3-5, my kids liked having a book to go with the audio. We listened to the same ones over and over, which actually was very helpful for working on fluency and confidence in reading because the kids were so familiar with the stories. Our favorites: Frog and Toad series The Frances collection Curios George collection Little Bear collection Mouse Tales collection Mike Mulligan Blueberries for Sal The next level up included: Nate the Great Magic Treehouse Mr. Popper's Penguins Charlotte's Web The Little House series 101 Dalmations The Wind in the Willows
AdventureMoms
Wizard of Oz was a big hit, with the bonus of being available free. We're nearly done the Ramona series which DD is madly in love with. I just got Magic Treehouse, but we haven't started it We've also liked Mother Goose stories and various fairy tales. Rapunzel is an all-time favorite, as is Stone Soup. I'm also reading this thread with great interest, we need to add to our audiobook collection! Megicce
We also have enjoyed Just So Stories and Animal Tales and Good Night, both read by Jim Weiss. I have to edit those a little bit as I have a very sensitive kiddo.

Tawlas
Wanted to add that we just got back from a ten hour drive and both The Secret Garden and How to Train your Dragon were big hits on the road. The Jungle Book was not a total flop, but not as well received.
