Has anyone compiled a chronological list of the best historical movies, for teens and adults?

To go along with my historical non-fiction year of reading, I thought it would be great to do a year of historical movies. This would also give me a chance to preview them all now to see what I'll want my kids to see when they are older.

I tried searching but might not be putting in the right terms. Has this already been done before?

I'm doing a year of movies for history this year. My daughter is 15 so may or may not be appropriate for your child since many of these are rated R. We are only doing modern history. This is what I have planned so far. We've only just finished Public Enemies, so I can't vouch for anything after that, but anything before that I felt was worthwhile or we wouldn't have finished it. (bolded ones are ones we've already watched)
