Halcyon
I want to get some of our wedding negatives converted into digi pics, but don't want to spend an arm and a leg. I have the proofs, too, so maybe it would be cheaper just to send those in to be scanned? (I have a scanner, but it would take ages for me to do this on my own and I wouldnt do a great job, so I would like to outsource this). The prices I am finding online are about 55 cents a negative, and I imagine I have about 200 "final cut" photos that I love....so that's a lot of moola LOL. I suppose I could save up for it. It is our wedding after all LOL. But when i do my research, it seems that the square negatives are an odd shape and will likely cost a LOT more than that...... Does anyone know a lab that might convert square negatives to digital? Thanks!!!
Halcyon
ugh. just found Gophoto.com, which WILL scan individual negatives, but at a price of .99 cents each. Hmmm.....
klmama
If the price is that high, you might want to consider buying a photo/negative scanner. Then you'd be able to use it for any other photos or negatives you have. Here's one on Amazon: http://www.amazon.co...d=AANSFONOCR8T3

Halcyon
Hmm. I may end up just using my own scanner and devoting a day to it. It's a PITA but it will save me lots.
lailasmum
I have an epson V500 film scanner which does a very good job of scanning film. It isn't too expensive.

LifeLovePassion
Wanna do mine too? I got all the negatives and there they sit. I have proof copies of all the pics, but never got much further with it!

Lailasmum, can you elaborate on this? I have an Epson V500 but it takes about 8 minutes to scan one frame of a 35mm negative. I can set it to a lower resolution for shorter time but then it won't be a usable scan. Maybe I am doing something wrong? I was thinking of getting a V600 instead.
