amo_mea_filiis.
I need some other ideas to help dd understand just how hard language is for ds. I was thinking of putting nature type music on her ipod and having her wear headphone for the day (rain, water or anything to hinder processing), and only allowing her to sign. She knows the ABCs and some basic signs so this would require a lot of thinking on her part. Of give her math work that she's capable of, but a lot of it. Have her copy long paragraphs, read a book way above her ability, etc. Anything for her to have some understanding of things from ds's perspective. Any other ideas? MomatHWTK
I sometimes interrupt the children constantly while they are trying to read aloud or do math in order to give them an idea of what ADHD is like.
