Sale starts Jan 21st at Homeschool Buyers Co-op.

Here's a helpful link!

You can actually sign up for a reminder right away so you'll get an email when it opens. As with most HSBC offers, the more people buy, the better the deal - it says up to 50% off, which would be a fantastic savings.

Just wanted to pass along a heads up. We don't use MM, but it's a terrific program. Not sure exactly which materials will be included, but if you're thinking of buying, it's probably worth waiting a couple of weeks to find out...

  • 2 weeks later...

I'm unclear on how the discount works on this one. Does each category have to get to a certain number purchased or is it collectively for everything? In other words is it possible that the light blue series would get up to a 40% discount but the golden series would only get to 20%?

It's only the best math program out there! ...imo of course. I've used it for three years so far. Conceptual, clear, solid, written to the student (fairly independent), non consumable pdf, cheap, brilliant. Pretty much all your mathematical dreams come true wrapped up in one wonderful curriculum.

Math Mammoth... I think I love you....

Hmmm, this looks so tempting. But I can really only justify it if I decide to use this program for my youngest. Is MM enough as a main program?

Everyone says MM is complete and I agree, but for that price (assuming it hits the 50% mark), it works as a supplement too! We tried to switch to MM from SM and just couldn't do it. However, we're finding that we like to do a little from each program each day. MM has been great for reinforcing math facts, while SM is our "fun" math. :p

I just wish the light blue series was entirely the original series, instead of partly revised.

I'm looking at the blue series. I don't have a printer, but was thinking of using it kinda like Math On the Level, and handwriting out the problems, so that doesn't really matter.

So you don't get your file until the sale closes? And if they extend the sale, you have to wait even longer? When is the projected end of the sale?

I think I have quite a number of the blue series in PDF (why? no idea. I seem to collect PDFs rofl) the only one I want is the Australian Money one. But I keep forgetting to get it, rofl. And since I'm on a buying ban till my OM arrives, I can't get it (and *whinge* its only $3!! And if I don't get it now I'll forget!) Oh well. Thats what happens with a self-imposed buying ban, something always comes up when you do it. I guess I'll just wait for the next reminder, or make do :p

Hunter, I just bought the Blue series last sale and if they extend the sale you still get it when it was supposed to end if you have already agreed to purchase it. You get the files as soon as the sale ends, even if it gets to the percentage you agreed to buy if for before the end. We are loving it and actually use it as our main math curriculum. It is my understanding that it is the same worksheets as the light blue series but just arranged completely by topic.

Thanks for typing all this. I have been using Professor B, and it's been okay. I'm hesitant to purchase anything different that doesn't promise to be altogether better. I see some things I like better in MM than PB, but I also see some things I don't think I like as much. I'm not at all interested in the revised light blue series. The blue series might work though.

If it goes to 50% off and I'll have it in early February, I might buy it. I'm SO much slower to buy curricula now, than I was in the past.
