unsinkable
i'll get a message that someone likes my post but then when i click on it, that person's "like" is not there anymore. so, what gives? someone changed her mind? people just messin' with me? i don't get it. :confused1:
nmoira
Not that I've noticed, but it's easy to "like" accidentally when in mobile view. Perhaps that has something to do with it?
brehon
<ahem> erm...uh...I mean...I think I've done this a couple of times and every time it's been entirely accidental. This baby nursing, one handed, iPad using momma just isn't that coordinated. So, if I've done this to you I do apologise. Has absolutely nothing to do with whether I like/dislike any post. So, yeah, sorry...<heads back to Luddite cave>...
Danestress
I accidentally "liked" posts when trying to reply to them after the board was revamped. So then I "unliked" them, although I quickly learned to stop doing that, and also to just leave things "liked" unless I found the post reprehensible. rgrin
Huh. I haven't even figured out how to "like" in mobile view. I wonder if I've been doing it (or undoing it) and not realizing it. :confused1:
elegantlion
Not on purpose. The mobile version messes me up (click the checkmark). Then it's easy to unclick it. I try to only click on posts I like, if I unclick it's an ESO (equipment superior to operator - dh used to use that when he worked in a cell phone store. People would bring in their phones and he'd fix them. If it was something simple, instead of embarrassing the customer he'd tell them it was simply their ESO)
kathy_overman
Can I tag along .... Can I see all the posts I have 'liked'? I can find the threads I am following, but not all the posts I like, hhmm.
mytwomonkeys
i did it once yesterday by accident. i didn't mean to though. i'm new to the "like" thing and just discovered it, lol. i don't remember who i unliked though, so if it was you i apologize. i'm going to like you right now though! Forget-Me-Not
I've done it by accident on my phone and ipad as well. Sorry!
unsinkable
to be clear...there is no need to apologize. i'm curious as to what is happening and why. i didn't know if it was some signal or something... inadvertant clicking seems like what might be happening in the vast majority of cases. melmichigan
I have done it repeatedly on accident while on my ipad, it's the downside of multitasking.
Forget-Me-Not
Yes, it happens most frequently when I'm holding the device in my right hand and scrolling with my thumb ;)
Amira
I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who has done this. It's never a problem on my laptop, but it's easy to accidentally like something on the iPad.
mommymilkies
Not that I've noticed, but it's easy to "like" accidentally when in mobile view. Perhaps that has something to do with it? I do this. With the ipad, it's very common to accidently like something when you scroll.
Starr
It's always nice to be liked. Keep those mistakes coming!
crazyforlatin
I've accidentally pressed "like" on my iPad only one time. I did unlike it because I think it would have appeared weird to the OP. You can't press like for a post that is sad, right?
Georgiana Daniels
I've done it too! Fat thumbs.

Aelwydd
I'ved clicked by accident on while browsing on my cell. It's so annoying. Stupid mobile view.
Pod's mum
I did unlike it because I think it would have appeared weird to the OP. You can't press like for a post that is sad, right? I've 'liked' sad posts. I see it as a support tag, not as liking bad news. I've also removed a like tag after re-reading and realising that I might 'like' one of the comments but may not like to give my support to the full post. I've only done that once or twice, I don't remember to whom I did that. I did wonder what happens to the notifications.
tex-mex
If you click in the upper right hand corner - between the "envelope" and your ID name... you will see a "person" button. (If you are reading this forum on a regular screen... not a mobile device.) Once you click on it, it tells you exactly WHO liked your post. I discovered who "unliked" me as I clicked on the link to the thread... and lo and behold... their "like" was gone. Mystery solved! ;) You can also click on your name in that same upper right hand corner of the screen and select your profile -- then look up who liked you and what posts you liked. lailasmum
I've accidentally liked posts when on my mobile. The tick is right where i scroll.
Ewe Mama
Our chihuahua just walked across the ipad and almost liked a post. She needs to get her own login and password! :)
melbotoast
I accidentally like posts on the mobile version. I've given up unliking them though.
TXBeth
Does anyone else have the urge to Like and then Unlike the OP? Maybe several times?
Dandelion
I joined the "accidental likers" club last night while posting from my iPod. Right after reading this thread. :tongue_smilie: So of course, I felt that I couldn't possibly unlike that post. Although the poster probably went "huh" about my liking it (it wasn't a sad post, but liking it really didn't make any sense). Oh well. Dory
I keep accidentally hitting the wrong buttons/spot because I come on here on my phone a lot. It's never intentional though.
