Susan in TN
OK - are you stomach sick, or fever and body aches? If it's the latter, try putting hydrogen peroxide in your ears for 3-5 minutes each ear. If you feel a little better afterwards, continue doing this every 2 to 3 hours (except when you are sleeping.) Within 24 hours you should be pretty much over it, but continue for another day or two, 3 or 4 times per day, to make sure the virus is really gone. Some flu viruses (respiratory) enter and incubate through your ear canal and the hydrogen peroxide is killing off the germs so they can't reproduce and spread into your body. That's how it was explained to me. It generally works when I get the "hit by a truck with high fever and body aches" variety of flu. At the very least you will have clean ears. Hope you feel better soon!

gardenmom5
yes - fever fights infection. what I"ve learned - everyone tops out at a different temp. I have kids who will run a high temp (1dd hit 104 once), and others who 100 is high. even when I had pnuemonia, I NEVER hit 101. (that included in the hospital with their thermometers.) get well.
