Angel Posted November 30, 2012 Share Posted November 30, 2012 Basically...what size pajamas would you buy for a 4'10" girl around 85 lbs from the American Girl Store online? I am ordering dd12 a pajama set from American Girl for Christmas. I am so confused about their clothing sizes. Are the sizes different from their stores to their catalogs? She has an L shirt from the American Girl Place that fits perfect now but I don't know how long it will fit her. However, the XL size on the website says size 18-20 and a height over 60". She is 58.5" and about 85lbs. I want her to be able to wear the pajamas for a while but I don't want them to be too big. She's growing like a weed and is all arms and legs and I think this will be the last year I can order anything that will fit her from AG. Help Please! jujsky Posted November 30, 2012 Share Posted November 30, 2012 My DD, 8, who weighs a little over 60 lbs and is maybe 4'3"-4'4" takes a medium at AG. I'd order an XL for her to be on the safe side. Their sizes tend to run a bit funky. Yes, the clothing in the stores and catalogs are the same, but I've ordered 2 different sets of pjs for DD in the past, same size, but one will fit well, and one will have enormous pants or something. Go online at AG and read the reviews for the specific pjs you want to buy her. People are usually pretty good about writing accurate reviews -- especially if it's a project with strange sizing.
