MamaAkins
I'm in for a Friday face-off! ' We have a light day planned. To be honest, we're taking the day off from school today. I have so much to get done and the kids were unfocused, so I'm declaring today a teacher's work day. So far, we have: ~taken dd15 to co-op ~gone to Petsmart to get food for the dog and mealworms for the lizard ~gone to BJ's for a major stock-up. Also picked up 2 Christmas presents for dh while we were there and I bought 2 pairs of jeans. I'm hoping that they fit so I can avoid a return trip. I truly don't like clothes shopping, but I've lost 18 pounds since mid-September and literally don't have any clothes that fit me. ~put away all the groceries and had a quick snack. ~run the dishwasher (dd15 can empty when she gets home from coop) Still on the agenda for today: DONE~regular chores (sort recycling, sweep, vacuum, clean bathrooms & kitchen) DONE~prep dinner ~clean/organize refrigerator (really should have done that BEFORE I went shopping) DONE~do 1 load of laundry ~put away boxes from indoor Christmas decorations that we put up yesterday ~get dh to get our Christmas tree and remaining decorations out of shed attic DONE~meet friend to buy ornament DONE~pick up my 2 "daycare girls" from their respective preschools (on different sides of town) DONE~send the kids out to play DONE~take kids to dress rehearsal for church musical (4:30-6pm) DONE~dinner IN PROGRESS~get everything ready for this weekend (tomorrow we have 3 dance performances @ 9:30, 11:30, and 1:30; children's musical at church 3:30-5:30; pancake supper & Birthday Party for Jesus activity at church 5:30-7pm; and then I have to go to work 8:30pm-12;30am; and Sunday we have church services and then our town's Christmas Parade - my oldest is dancing in it and my ds is marching with Boy Scouts). beaners
Unfortunately, I've already mopped the hall near the washer. My husband put a comforter in the wash before he left for work and water had been splashing out the top for a few minutes before I noticed the wave of water entering the kitchen. All the towels will need to be washed, plus the blankets the kids threw on the water. I hate when someone tries to help me out and it backfires! But I've stopped freaking out and started using the wet towels to mop the rest of the kitchen while I restart the washer. I had been planning on washing all the blankets today because we were all sick with stomach bugs for the last couple days, so I'm telling myself that it's just good motivation to get some things done. We still need to do math, French, and a sketch during our outside time. I need to finish the laundry and mopping I mentioned above. I need to do some dishes and cook a light lunch that won't upset my stomach. I need to spend some time on Coursera. We are all going to clean the bedrooms until we uncover my flash drive that one of the girls took of the computer desk to use as a toy phone. It has all of our baby photos in one place, plus the reading lessons that same daughter has been begging to do. I also need to iron enough shirts to make it to my husband's first day off next week. Ready? Go!

Liz CA
As soon as I get some courage, I will opene the front door and see what havoc last night's storm has caused. Last I remember, there were sparks coming off the electricity line.

Jean in Newcastle
How's it going everyone? I have cleaned the kitchen. :coolgleamA: Had a logic seminar with ds15 - which made me look like this :cursing: for part of the time because he was not. listening. Did spelling and Japanese with dd10. :coolgleamA: Did a number of small chores in the living room which I don't want to bother typing out but make the room look a lot neater. :coolgleamA:
Jean in Newcastle
Adding to what was done in the a.m.: bird feeders are now all clean and filled. (Need to add birdfood to the shopping list for the "pigs with wings"). :coolgleamA: Made one business call about a med. bill. At least I can cross that off of my list. :coolgleamA:

MamaAkins
I am D-O-N-E for today. It has been a long week. I need a break. An adult beverage would probably be appropriate for the week I've had, but I don't drink. Hmmm...maybe now is the time to start! j/k DH has a "man cold." Oh dear, it's probably going to be a long weekend...
