Halcyon
Would love something with healthy, reasonably easy to make meals that my kids can make. THey both love cooking and we generally find something on google for them to make, but I am thinking a cookbook would be a nice gift for Christmas. Thanks! poiema
I like the Cook It in a Cup and Bake It in a Cup cookbooks, but my kids are a bit younger than yours.
Farrar
Ds went through a cooking phase last year - we really like Anabel Karamel's books and she has one for kids that's more independent. We also had a subscription to Yum for Kids that was fun.
happi duck
We have liked: Books by Mollie Katzen like Honest Pretzels or Pretend Soup. http://www.amazon.com/Honest-Pretzels-Other-Amazing-Recipes/dp/1582463050/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1354255951&sr=1-1&keywords=honest+pretzels http://www.amazon.com/Pretend-Soup-Other-Real-Recipes/dp/1883672066/ref=sr_1_3?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1354255951&sr=1-3&keywords=honest+pretzels Also, I think Family Fun Magazine has a cookbook. http://www.amazon.com/FamilyFun-Cooking-Kids-Deanna-Cook/dp/1423100867/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1354256008&sr=1-1&keywords=family+fun+cooking+with+kids Your library might own these to take a look at them first. somo_chickenlady
Kids in the Kitchen by Nellie Edge! http://www.nellieedge.com/shop/cook-books.htm My mom got me this cookbook when I was a kid, and I used it a TON! My son grew up cooking with the same one, and I kept it to pass on to his kids. It has simple, easy recipes, written in big easy to read print, with illustrations to help them grasp what to do. You can find samples of the recipes in that link. I love this book!!

tammyw
We have a couple cookbooks for kids, and I guess what i really hate is when everything is so dumbed down, or when they use processed food to make things "easier". I would love to find a "mature" kid cookbook that actually has food adults would eat!! Come to think of it, maybe a cookbook similar to The Pioneer Woman's (with all those step-by-step pictures) would be better for kids?
