Carrie75
Has this happened to anyone? If so, what did it turn out to be? It's like, end of your period type spotting. Just thought I'd ask, as I am waiting to hear back from my OB.

Forget-Me-Not
I haven't, but I hope all is well. Glad you called your OB. Update when you can!
TheReader
not sure. Could it be from over-exertion or ummm, any activities that might have caused that? I've had that happen before. Or, is it looking like bloody show/mucous/blood like losing your mucous plug? Praying regardless; if you have any contractions at all (the rule for preterm is usually 4 per hour) go to the hospital just in case. Much of the time, preterm labor can be stopped with drugs. Not always, but often. The sooner you get there, the better, just in case, as the less your body has progressed, the likelier it is to stop the process. If you aren't having contractions or anything, it is possible it's just from over-exertion. Truly. don't panic, just be wise and listen to your intuition and your OB. gardenmom5
Yes. I had a mild abruption. (which ended up being more annoyance than concern.) I ended up spotting off an on until I delivered. what color is the blood? is it on your underwear or the toilet paper? are there any clots? how much? call your dr with the information. they will want to check you out to know the source, that will enable them to determine if this is a concern or an annoyance. Carrie75
Dr.'s nurse called back and said nothing to worry about unless there is bright red spotting or bleeding. I am feeling the baby move a lot today, so that is keeping me from stressing out. I've only been having the annoying braxton-hicks contractions and the spotting I had seems to be going away. Thanks for your prayers and good thoughts! I appreciate them all.
Catwoman
Praying that everything is 100% fine! I'm glad the nurse was so encouraging, but please try to take it easy for a few days, just to be on the safe side.

Soror
I agree with everyone else I'd take it easy and hopefully the spotting is finished!
besroma
Are you feeling better about the spotting now?
shanvan
I had similar spotting off and on all through my first pregnancy. Every time I thought it was gone for good it would come back. Very stressful. That baby is 14 now. No one ever came up with a good reason for the spotting. I did take it easy though---and certain 'activities' were deemed unadvisable by my Dr. I hope you are feeling better and it is nothing more than an annoyance. Carrie75
Thanks ladies! I am ok, still spotting a little but lots of baby boy movement and Bx contractions. I should see the dr by next week at my 32 week appt. I'm hoping for an ultrasound if possible.

texasmama
It happened to me with baby #3. It was some sort of polyp, related to pg but not harmful to baby. All was well. He turns 10 next month. :)
SevenDaisies
I had very heavy bleeding at 21 weeks with oldest dd. it was a blood clot on my cervix that dd was kicking. I bled for a week and then was on bed rest, but dd was fine.
