AimeeM
I know I could just google it, but I want your first hand favs. My baby sister is coming to visit at the beginning of December; she is a vegetarian (life long) and has a serious heart problem (so anything I make definitely needs to be low/no sodium I think?). I need it to be simple (everyone else will be eating meat, so I'll be cooking two different meals). I'll take her out a couple evenings for dinner probably, so I just need a couple of good, solid vegetarian recipes that are heart friendly (and tasty - she isn't known for sticking to her low/no sodium requirements because, true to her 21 year old bachelorette diet, she likes salt drenched french fries and bean burritos). I'm not contributing to her bad habits, so I'll be making a trip to the grocery store before she comes. Help!
Robin M
Angel Hair pasta with a little bit of olive oil and garlic. Veggies sauted in olive oil - mushrooms, onions, broccoli, carrots and green beans or asparagus. Throw some herbs in - dlll weed, parsley, etc to taste. No salt needed. These are good dishes that go along with your meat and you don't have to cook two different meals.
Alicia64
This is awesome and easy. My son told me to throw out my other recipe and only make this. Plus it's pretty. Even easier if you throw it in a slow cooker: http://www.bhg.com/recipe/soups/three-bean-vegetarian-chili/ Alley
