We have received 6 free nights this year due to using the card for plane fare earlier in the year and receiving a $500 bonus in Rewards. That said, it is not always competitive in pricing. If you want to pay out of pocket, it could cost less. But because it is "free", I can justify that point. I always, always, always, look at Trip Advisor for reviews.
