jboggie
Just starting the process of looking at TT. I have a friend's TT7. I noticed that on the FS board, there is mention of self-checking CDs; and different versions. Are there different versions of TT7? and what is the difference between different versions? does anyone know how much the textbook costs? I checked online but you need to call them and they are not in today. thanks!
QuirkyKidAcademy
I don't know about versions of TT7, but both TT4 and TT5 that we have used were self-checking. The books, last fall, cost about $30. Don't know about shipping. I have to order a TT5 book soon though.
ChicoryChick
You can purchase a 2nd Textbook w/ answer key drom CBD for $39.95. There areb't 2 editions such as 1.0 and 2.0. However ther were some changes ade bacK in 2010. I had purchased it that spring and had the option of upgrading so it worked on the mac, but skipped it since I don't have a 0ac. Mine is self grading but you don't have the option of adding students or deleting lessons like you do in the newer ones (I am not sure if the upgraded one can or not)). I had to create seperate accounts on my computer, install under the admin account and then each of my children had a clean TT "account". Another change that ws made with the Mac upgrade (I believe) is that you can register it online from another online acct if your computer that you are installing it on isn't hooked up to the internet. You can tell which one you have by looking at the serial number if it begins with a 1 after the Math 7 then it is the original, if it begins with a 2 it is the upgrade. Is that as clear as mud? HTH :)
