Bang!Zoom!
I'm trying to figure out what/how the local or state tax structure is in S. Carolina; lost in a sea of data and cannot see the forest for the trees. Doing some pre-scouting (very lightly) on the Aiken area. Anyone familiar? Susan C.
State income tax is 7% less a certain amount to account for lower brackets leading up to that. The only extra local taxes I know of are when they add 1% to sales tax for road projects, etc. We pay property taxes on vehicles (county), and you get to pay 4% on a set amount for your home if you are a resident (6% if you are not, also county). try sctax.org for more info.
