HappyGrace
I know it's a longshot, but they're very old and very well-known YMCA camps. Just wondering if anyone could share experiences if their children have gone to either! The boys camp is in Westport, NY, and the girls is in VT. From what I understand, parents send their kids there from as far away as California and Florida, which is why I thought I'd ask here. http://campdudley.org/
Guest mbartlett
I have a son at Dudley, in his eleventh year and in his third as a Leader (counselor). My daughter has spent six summers at Camp Dudley at Kiniya and just finished her first session in the leadership training. I am a huge believer in the program and host a Reunion in Florida, where I live. There are many things that make Dudley special in the world of summer camps, and lots are visible through their site and on YouTube. After 128 years, Dudley continues to provide kids with a fun, safe, and character-building experience in beautiful settings in the Adirondacks and in Vermont. Sports, outdoors, cabin activities, all the traditional camp activities, and the spiritual program make Dudley an experience that campers and families treasure. If there is any way you can visit the camps, or attend a Reunion in your area, you will meet the Directors and alumni who, like me, love to talk about our and our kids' experiences.
