Does your ASD child have (nighttime) dreams?

Recommended Posts

My son, 11 claims he doesn't have dreams....ever:confused:. He certainly seems to understand what they are after I described them to him. Recently, we were watching Little House when Albert was having a dream. When I asked my ds, he said Albert was having a dream.

I've never heard anyone mention this, but remember reading in either a headache or adrenal fatigue book that if a certain mineral/vitamin is deficient, then you either won't have (or remember) dreams.

Just curious if anyone else's child doesn't dream or remember them.

My two Aspies dream. In fact they often have trouble keeping reality and dreams seperated.

If they wake up from a nightmare, they will many times forget what it was before they make it to our bedroom door. But they do remember dreams. My older aspie has sleep issues and he doesn't seem to remember dreams as vividly as his yougner brother. He is also very logical and gets embarassed when he has what he thinks is a silly dream.
