Greetings from Southern Delaware!

I've been lurking on this forum for close to two years now and have found it to be a source of inspiration. My DS started his first official homeschooling year this past fall. Although it was technically K, we completed SOTW1, most of FLL, Spelling Workout B & C, and a JHU math course (among other SO many other things). Although we kept in touch with many my son's friends that attended PS this past year, we also made friends with many homeschooling families in the area. At the beginning of the year he seemed content with the intellectual stimulation at home and the "just play" attitude with his friends. However, we are beginning to see some frustration in him with regards to discussing his interests with his peers.

DS (6.5) will be attending a summer camp at the College of Wiliam and Mary this July. It will be his first experience in a program with other accelerated students and we are truly excited about the possibility that he will meet other kids who share some of his passions (chess, SOTW2/history topics, math, etc.) Will anyone from this forum be attending as well? For those of you who have attended in the past, do you have any "words of wisdom" to share?

Also, I'm looking to connect with other WTM homeschoolers with accelerated children on the Delmarva peninsula. Anyone out there?

Thanks in advance.

Could those of you who have done this explain a bit? I looked at a W&M daycamp website but it didn't mention that it was for accelerated students and the programs were video game design and cartooning related.

My soon to be K dd is working through R&S Math 1 and will probably be done by Christmas. I'd love to send her to a math daycamp for accelerated students and my mom works at W&M so this would be a great fit for us.

Thanks a bunch!
