salinda
I don't see Abeka curriculum discussed very much on these boards. Has anyone used any of the 7th grade curriculum? I'm thinking of using the science and health for 7th graders. I would appreciate any feedback. Thank you.
Susan A.
We have never used 7th, but we have gone through the 6th grade science and health and enjoyed them. We will use Abeka Physical Science this year for 9th and it looks good as well.
Jan P.
I've used their 8th grade science book, and I am considering using their biology book this year. Abeka's science is a good, solid science program. Jan P.
teachmom3
I would take a look at the table of contents to see what A Beka's 7th science is covering. If that fits in with what you want and if your children do okay with the writing style (mine did; in fact, my youngest preferred A Beka's writing style), then do go ahead and use it! The only relative weakness A Beka has during the middle school grades is that it has fewer lab / hands-on activities than some other courses. If you're not interested in having much lab associated with science at this level, then this wouldn't be a weakness at all.
