Do you still use a vocab program if you are doing latin?

An interesting book you might want to consider is "Words and Ideas" by William J. Dominik. (ISBN 086516485-1). Word building is taught parts to whole but contextually. It starts out with word building basics, provides Latin and Greek word building tools, and then branches out to teach word building in the areas of mythology, medicine, politics and law, economics, philosophy and history. It's probably best for high school or those learning independently.

This sounds fascinating. Thanks.

We don't do a separate vocabulary program. Then again, we're the type of family that uses words like "bifurcate" and "referent" in casual conversation -- which is to say that we're a bit on the geeky side and overly fond of words.
