Holly in FL
I can't believe this...but, I saw a bug in my spelt wheat! I posted about this a little over a month ago re: my oats. Now, I saw one in my spelt! Sigh! I have been grinding my own wheat for almost 5 years and have never had any bugs. I got some good advice here last time. I put bay leaves in all my open containers. I JUST opened this 6 gallon bucket of spelt a little over a month ago...and, didn't remember to put any bay leaves in there. Can I still put Diatomaceous Earth in there to kill the bugs? I'm not sure Bread Beckers is going to replace another container for me. I have a feeling they may think I'm doing something wrong. ??? Thanks for any help! I am so frustrated!! ~Holly
Mandamom
I bought food grade DE from my gardening store to take care of the flea problem we had -- took care of the ants, too that I had pretty much given up on. Don't know about putting it in your spelt, though.
