Another loop schedule planning question

We have tried the loop schedule in the past, but ditched it. Now we are going to be trying it again. What I'm trying to figure out is the planning part of it. We do not have any requirements for our state, but I do like to keep records and I do issue grades (at the request of my girls!). Currently, we use Homeschool Skedtrack, but I'm having trouble seeing it in conjunction with the loop schedule. I have been messing around with Olly, and I'm not sure about that one, either.

 

Do most of you who loop like to use a planner or are you more likely to use a spreadsheet or table?

 

Do you prefer planning ahead or writing things down as you go along? (I actually like to keep a list of assignments in order, so that I at least know what is coming up next.)

 

Do you prefer pen and paper or something on the computer?

 

Thanks in advance for any and all input. :D I think my plans are coming together, but something is missing...
