Halcyon
A little bit ago I posted needing ideas for loop scheduling. We ended up settling on a schedule, eliminating some subjects, and it's working really well. We don't get to everything in a week, which was my hope, but that's okay--we DO get to it, and usually finish loop part in 4 days, rather than 3. Just wanted to say thank you to all of you who helped me figure this out....for now ;) Edited February 1, 2012 by Halcyon

mommy5
That sounds cool! I had never thought of doing a loop before -- I just was reading through your other thread. This maybe something I'll incorporate!
PollyOR
I read through that thread. It motivated me to try a loop one more time. We have finally found a loop that will work for 13yo. :hurray:
SuperDad
Are you being sarcastic? :tongue_smilie: Yes, but loop scheduling really is difficult.
GoVanGogh
 Glad it is working out for you. We are going on six years of homeschooling and I just completely changed how I schedule. We start our school years in January, so I spent last November doing a "test run" on some schedule ideas. We just finished our first month with the new schedule and I love it! The first few weeks, I wasn't sure... It felt too "stiff" and not as flexible as I like/am used to. But I stuck with it and now love it. I feel so much more productive and organized. :D Yes, but loop scheduling really is difficult. :iagree: I had no idea scheduling would be the challenging part of homeschooling. :tongue_smilie:
Halcyon
Glad to know it's working for others--this is pretty much what we've always done, but I'd never made a list...I would just say to myself "hmm, we havent studied Artists for a couple of weeks, let's study that today!" This makes it a little more formal.
arghmatey
Cool! We use it with work boxes, and I think it's great at relieving the stress of not getting around to something one day. I don't remember if I'd heard of it before your thread, so thank you!
