Lisa in MN
I am looking online and the closest I can find is a set with a stethoscope that makes a fake coughing/heartbeat sound. Anyone found a really cool set? My twin girls are turning 3 in Feb :-) Thanks Ladies... Lisa in MN (actually in San Diego now!)
nancypants
How about getting this and maybe this and a package of these and maybe even one of these! They are all the real deal and will definitely FAR outlast any overpriced toy... plus... they could actually come in handy! Okay, so I know they are not pretend... but I don't think there are realistic play ones nowadays.

There's no one else in the room so you must be... but I don't know how I deserve a genius badge for this! LOL But heck... I'll take it! :D After I went on the hunt for these I thought, man... I should get this for my kids! :p

HomeOnTheRanch
Contact your local hospital, doctors, etc. They may have stuff they'll give you...especially if you don't mind have some drug info printed on it. Stuff that may be "broken" for their purposes may suit you just fine. Now, if you tell them you want it for playthings for your 3yo, they probably won't give them for liability issues. But if you want them for "education," you might score some. They aren't toys, and I wouldn't keep them in their "toy box." Have a special box for them and get them down under supervision. Use common sense (as I'm sure you would). Your kids may be fine with them, but their playmates might not. Warning about the otoscope...a FNP was letting one of my sons look at something in the one of the other's ear. He pushed on it suddenly...OUCH! If you have any health professional friends, have them give you a quick tutorial on use so nobody gets hurt.
Lisa in MN
Thank you! I got the blood-pressure cuff, the stethoscope, the reflex hammer, and the bag to hold it all! You're tops! Hope you're stayin' warm up there... I just moved last week from MN to San Diego and I'm loving every minute of it!
