Baseballmom
My son got Pentago for his birthday. It is Tic Tac Toe with a twist. It is a great strategy game, I really like it (probably because I haven't lost yet.) So I got to thinking about what other games we are missing out on. Let me know your fav's. Ellie
is a favorite here. Many of the men at our church play dominoes...in fact, it's kind of skeery, lol. At Thanksgiving, then again on Christmas, we invited a friend from church over for the day and introduced him to Settlers. He is so hooked:D We're thinking that Settlers will overtake dominoes before too long.
Pajama Mama
We play alot of games-board and card games. Some of the favs are older games: Monopoly and Yahtzee plus Gobblet, Set and Swap. My fav at the moment is Stop Thief. I played this as a kid(late 1970s) and last year I found it at the second hand store for a dollar. It was in like new condition. My 10 yos likes playing it with me:)
OnTheBrink
You mean there are other games besides Scrabble? LOL Scrabble is my favorite, but we also enjoy Yahtzee, Uno, and various word and math games I find at garage sales.

Rhonda@LivingWater
Monopoly, Clue, Yahtzee, and Uno (though not a board game :)) are favorites here. Also, a few years ago I found The Secret Garden game based on the book and my girls and I enjoy that one. Both my daughters and I like all of these games but my dh and ds don't like to play anything. We also like the Junior versions of Monopoly and Clue. I forgot to mention Scrabble. We like that one too.
ShelliR
a game called Carcassonne. It is a German game sold through Rio Grande games. It uses land tiles to build cities, farms, cloisters, etc. in the middle ages. My son just got an add-on for the game with "Traders and Builders". It has kept our attention for a couple years now. Ages 8 and up, I think.

Stirsmommy
We love Settlers but if you have a bigger family get an expansion pack to go with it as only four of us can play at a time. I found out about it on these boards and saw one day at a games store when I was picking up another Killer Bunnies deck. That is also a fun game but not a board game.
