Caroline
I hope you all don't mind me asking a question here. My oldest is taking APUSH next year. I am looking at some Teaching Company lectures to enhance our studies--History of the United States and American Bestsellers. He is also taking American Lit. Does anyone have any opinions on these? or other recommendations? Would it be ok to just have the audio, or do you think we need the video, too? Thanks for your help. MIch elle
I have the History of the US, and it's very good. It has a few different lecturers throughout the series which breaks it up in a good way. The audio would be fine, but I do like the pictures and maps they show during each lecture.

I like the multiple prof idea.
TiaTia
To revive a summer thread at midterm season, how do you like the TC lectures so far? I've been using them as a supplement to Brinkley's American History: A Survey (12th ed.) for AP US History. Love them. Each of the professors has a different style, which is actually a bonus for practicing lecture note-taking.
