When I plug in the ipod and open iphoto the ipod shows up as a device, I just can't figure out how to put the album on the ipod. TIA! Photo Ninja Posted May 18, 2011 Share Posted May 18, 2011 I have not done it on a Mac, but do it on my Windows computer. I put the photos I want into a folder and name it. I assume that is your album? I connect the iPhone or iPod and it shows up as a device. I then open the finder window, find the file with the photos, and drag it onto the iPhone device and it copies there. I suspect it works the same way on a Mac, unless the iPhoto album is not really photos, but just tags the photos and 'points' to them. In this case the album doesn't actually exist as a file.
