ChristusG
Tomorrow I'm bringing my 4 and 7 year olds to the zoo. I'm looking for a learning activity to go along with the outing. DD7 isn't a very good reader (at all...we're working on it)...so nothing with too much reading and writing. It would be great if it was something the 4 year old could participate in as well. Any ideas would be great!!
unsinkable
Scavenger Hunt? Classifying animals? Mammal, bird, reptile, etc. Drawing/sketching animals, then narrating later about what they drew? Or just being together and having fun!
Starr
Each child could pick a favorite animal to learn more about and make a poster or paper dictating a couple of sentences and drawing or cutting out pictures of animal, habitat, and other fun info. I always had great thoughts of what to do with field trips but in the end they learned and enjoyed by just going. I wish they had scrap booked or journaled their field trips. Have a fun day!
