Chris in VA
I did some work this morning on ds' transcript (actually the booklist I plan to include). Instead of listing books by year (our school years), I went ahead and ordered them in more typical fashion. We do have some gaps, but hey, I think we did pretty darn good, esp since I hadn't read most of these myself! :D Original List Grade 9: 2005-2006 Genesis Exodus Gilgamesh Hittite Warrior, Joanne Williamson Cat of Bubastes, G.A. Julie in GA
So how will this look on your transcript, as far as classes & credits go?
tbmoran
I love your idea of including books read in your transcript. I wish I had done that with my dd who is graduating this year. The list of books that you included is very impressive. Thank you for posting them.
DollyM
Heart of Darkness and All Quiet are world lit, I think. ;o)

Chris in VA
I'm not sure about the credits. I'm going to look at the colleges ds wants to attend and tailor the names of his classes to what they require. Since the work can be called multiple names, I don't think it will matter if I tinker this way! lol As it stands now, he will have 3 Great Books classes, which include history and English. But, it's typical to see Brit Lit, Am Lit, World Lit, and then 2 years of World History, 1 year of Am hist and 1 year of Gov't. He's really had Am hist, but it was in the world context. And, as you can see in his booklist, he's covered (or will cover) plenty of the lit catagories, too. It's all a matter of semantics for the purpose of getting into college. I was just playing around with the purpose of seeing what would happen if I recatogorized our courses in a more traditional way. Oh, and I left off some of the things he's read when I wrote this list, because they counted for Theology.
