nutmeg
Good morning, :) My 4th grade 10yodd is finishing up R&S 6 and is doing very well with it. She has a near photographic memory and excellent comprehension and recollection. Her 12yo sister will continue using R&S 7 next year, but I'm thinking of having the 10yo do something different. (I can see the 10yo is getting bored with the R&S style/format and would appreciate trying something new.) Could you recommend a direction for us? Here is where we have been and what I'm thinking: 2nd - R&S 4 3rd - R&S 5 4th - R&S 6 (finishing now) 5th - ??? 6th - ??? 7th & 8th - R&S 7 9th & 10th - R&S 8 11th & 12th - some sort of review Thank you for any help! mellifera
you could try Abeka's 7th grade grammar book. I think it's Grammar and Composition A. It's similar to Rod and Staff as far as difficulty goes but is a bit different in the way it teaches. I'm not sure I would go back and do R & S 7 in 7th grade, though. I think you might have boredom issues.
nmoira
Have you looked at Michael Clay Thompson's materials?
