warriormom
What is your favorite free curriculum/educational aid?
KristenR
For us- the library is the best free resource we have. For more specific things I guess it would really depend on what age group you have in mind. I have younger children and we love Starfall. That website has been such a great tool for us. I always recommend it to friends.

NittanyJen
Khan Academy, Hands down!! Math, science, and so much more! Second choice for us would be our local public library-- the children's librarian and the reference librarians there are just fantastic people, and the "climate" there is really welcoming :)

joyfulhomeschooler
What a great thread! We use and like www.spellingcity.com to make up worksheets for printing or playing games with those spelling words that just aren't sticking or for words that are consistently spelled wrong. I did not realize the Inquiry in Action program was for younger kids. (Trying to keep these straight in my mind...I'd better bookmark them so I don't forget!) Aconnolley
http://www.sheppardsoftware.com/web_games.htm My kids really like this one. It is great for learning the states, countries, and much more. We also go to http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/. Each day to see what amazing astronomy photo they have posted that day. I will second http://www.SpellingCity.com It is effective for practicing spelling words and the kids enjoy it. http://www.Starfall.com I was thrilled to find this one and my kids enjoyed it for years before they outgrew it. :-) Angela
