Nicoleab2
Is it enough? Does it thoroughly cover pre cal and trig? Thanks so much, Nicole
Grace is Sufficient
The final module of the program -- presumably the one which would cover the most advanced topics -- has not been completed. Also, the module before that one has not been out very long either, though I don't know when it was released. I think probably sometime in 2010, but there are probably not many who have used it in its entirety, either. Sorry -- not much help. Maybe someone has gotten a preproduction copy and knows something? Nicoleab2
Thanks Debbie! I didn't realize this. I appreciate your response. I was wondering why there wasn't anymore responses. :) Thanks a million. Nicole
Tullia
For the first few modules my son was working right at or maybe a hair faster than the publication schedule. He completed most of the pre-production materials which were then available for Module E in 2009, but couldn't wait for more so he covered the material projected for Module F at community college. I think the final version of Mod. E has been published since then. The projected scope for Module F looks as if it covers the necessary topics adequately, and if the quality is similar to the preceding modules I would expect good things. We spoke to the author at a convention when the first few modules were newly published. He has very high standards, and has had to deal with a lot of technical problems along the way. I appreciate the fact that Mr. Clark doesn't want to sacrifice quality just to get something on the market--but I hope the final module will be done soon. I'm a VT fan--VT Algebra worked beautifully for my son and I felt that the Geometry program compared favorably with the other options I looked at. He was reasonably well prepared for college level math courses, but would have had an easier time if he'd had the benefit of that last Geometry Module before attempting college math. We liked the way Mr. Clark incorporated the visual component in his Algebra course, but, IMO, it works even better for Geometry.
