MyThreeSons
Anyone know of any sources for extra practice problems, etc., for Apologia's Advanced Physics course? Thanks in advance... Lori I don't know of any resource that is particularly tied to Apologia. Are there extra practice problems in the back of the advanced text, as there are in the regular text? Any freshman-level college Physics text should have plenty of problems. Many have answers in the back, but not solutions. You can find them cheap online. KineticBooks Physics texts have problems with answers, and, within the chapters, several problems worked out step by step. www.kineticbooks.com Your local bookstore and/or library should have some good books with lots of problems. Not problems, so much, but great for cementing concepts are Paul Hewitt's Next Time Questions which go along with his Conceptual Physics text. If you use these, don't allow your student to see the answers until after he has spent considerable time wrestling with the problems. The answers are often counter-intuitive, which is valuable.
