Hunter
I think I saw a science curriculum based on the Bible. I think it was for k-4. I cannot remember the name of it. I think it starts in Genesis and moves through the entire Bible. I think it had a lot of experiments. My memory is fuzzy :-

mom2myboys
Did it have Eagle in the title? I think I saw that while shopping for our science (Apologia). I wish I still had the catalog.

Hunter
Nope, not Eagle or God's Design. UGH!!!!! This is making me nuts :-(
mamalbh
None of the below are exactly like what you described - but I'm hoping it helps: Christian Liberty Press sounds like the closest to what you described - but I don't think there are many experiments (I could be wrong) This is Christian Liberty Press's science - only K-3 (after that they use Abeka), but I know one of the books focuses on the Creation story Then there's the "Truth is Science" series which has a lot of focus on apologetic & worldview training. They do not have lower elem. - only 3rd -6th
savmom
Purposeful Design? Christian Kids Explore? Investigate the Possibilities? Do you remember anything specific about it (like color, cover pics, anything)? I hate when I forget like that (which lately seems to happen WAY too much for my taste ;) ). Hope you figure it out soon (and please post when you do since my curiosity is piqued). Cindy
Hunter
All I remember is that it is organized to line up with the organization of the Bible. It is not set up by grouping similar topics or by what is commonly taught to a grade. It starts in Genesis and moves through the Bible. There are experiments. It is aimed at lower elementary I think. I think there are several volumes.
Poke Salad Annie
Is it the one from Simply Charlotte Mason? Oh, never mind. I see that you said it had several volumes, so this is not the one. I'll follow this, as it is an interesting concept.
mamalbh
The Bedell Curriculum? It isn't just science - it's everything all centered around moving through the Bible, and for multiple grades
Hunter
Nope. Still not it. There was a webpage with multiple softcover science books displayed, I think, and no other subjects.

Hunter
It's not a creation curriculum. It's a well rounded general science curriculum, in which the order of the lessons line up to be integrated into a reading through the Bible plan. deeinfl
I think I know what you are talking about. It's a little white book with experiments on the days of Genesis. I can't remember the name, was it Genesis day by day? No, I got it, it's Science in the Creation Week! I looked in my very old Elijah Company catalog. Let me know if this was it. :) Dee Edited January 10, 2011 by deeinfl

I cannot think of any anything that schedules bible readings with related experiments that is a complete Science curriculum (lots of unit studies & textbooks though). I have links to dozens of science curriculum sites and I am totally at a loss!:confused1: Hopefully someone will know what you are referring to because now I am REALLY interested in finding out what it is! :D

Hunter
Not a little booklet. It covers physical sciences unlike CGC. UGH!!! I really do not think I dreamed this. I think I skimmed it, then quickly moved on, when I saw it was an open and go for early elementary, and not easily adapted to older students. But because it was just a skim, I cannot be entirely cetain of any details...but...i really think it was a multibook complete curriculum organized by the order of the books of the Bible. Well maybe not complete...but...it had a very wide variety of topics. it didn't occur to me that it was a rare curriculum and that I needed to save a link to be able to find it again. Thank you everyone for all your input! :-) Edited January 10, 2011 by Hunter

Sandwich in Wi
Was it the Apologia Elementary series Exploring Creation by Jeannie Fulbright? This goes through the days of creation (Astronomy, Botany, 3 vol. of Zoology and Human Anatomy) and is open and go. I don't think I saw anyone mention it in this thread (surprising!). http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=jeannie+fulbright&x=0&y=
Donna A.
You aren't thinking of the science component of My Father's World, are you? http://www.mfwbooks.com/select.htm Kindergarten: Science, Bible, Creative Thinking, Character Development, and Art are also integrated into the 26 easy-to-teach thematic units. Each six-day unit focuses on one alphabet letter and one corresponding science topic. For example, in Lesson 1, "S-s-sun," students learn letter "s" and number 1, study about the sun, construct and use a sundial, observe and chart grapes as they become raisins, paint a sun, listen to a funny book about shadows, and learn that, like the sun, Jesus is the light of the world. 1st grade: Using a thematic approach, Bible history from Genesis to Revelation is the focus of this learning adventure. Phonics lessons develop the needed skills to read Bible stories from our Bible Reader. Students retell (narrate) the Bible story and create a lovely keepsake Bible Notebook in which they summarize and illustrate Bible stories. Weekly memory verses selected from Proverbs help strengthen handwriting skills as well as biblical character. Hands-on projects help the student understand and experience the world of the Bible. Creating a timeline helps to visualize Bible stories as actual events that fit into history. Making a Bible times costume and celebrating a Sabbath meal help students understand the culture of the Bible. For science, the focus is nature, using three excellent Usborne science books included with the curriculum. 2nd grade: Bible Learn how wonderful Jesus is as you study about the Bread of Life, the Lamb of God, the Good Shepherd, the Rock, and more. Includes hands-on activities and memory versesScience Explore the fascinating world of science - stars, weather, plants, animals, atoms, energy, gravity, friction, sound, computers, and much more. Enjoy beautiful full-color pictures and interesting information in First Encyclopedia of Science plus hands-on science activities from Science with Air. Nature studies include Birds, Nests and Eggs, and an optional weekly nature walk.
Hunter
After I got a better look at Bedell, I think maybe I have mixed up the memories of more than one curriculum. I think the cover of Considering God's Creation got mixed up with the list of first 4 workbook TOC samples of Bedell. Has anyone here used Bedell with older students? Even though the reading level is for young students, advanced KJV and other vocabulary is covered and research topics are for provided older students, and the science topics themselves are appropriate for middle school level general science. Does anyone know how many of the volumes have been published yet? Thank you everyone for all your help! :-)
mamalbh
I was reminded that I was interested in Bedell the other day when I responded to your thread - so I emailed him about the volumes. Volumes 1 - 8 are done and volume 9 will be done in about a year.
Hunter
That is excellent news! I ordered volume 1. It looks like a really easy quick read to supplement my SOW lessons.
